incase i forget — letters from a sincere place (letter #2)
Note: incase i forget — letters from a sincere place is a compilation of letters written in seasons of wrestle and hope. since childhood, my favorite way to cope is to share about my days and my heart. life transitions can make the heart grow old and cold, but I believe each one of us will always keep a part of ourselves that can never be outgrown.
these letters are personal and I’m keeping them to remind myself how God’s grace and mercy carried me through different and changing seasons of my heart. in breaking and breakthrough, there is a God who cares and loves us deeply. if you ever find the time to read these letters, my hope is that it encourages you not to be strong, but to be unashamed of your vulnerability and brokenness. take the risk to bare your heart and always remember that Jesus delights when we lay down at His feet.

Position your hands, not to fight, but to pray. discipline yourself in moments of chaos and conflict, and find a way to keep a stature that represents who is in you, rather those who are around and against you.
live out the call to pray for wisdom, for goodness of heart, and for divine and Godly impartation.
when the enemy wants you to explode with words of disruption, draw yourself back to a place of composure and compassion; for the power of life and death is in the tongue. and only you are responsible for what you give and take away.
bandwagons may look inviting, the road they travel is easy, but we are called to travel the narrow path, to build our life on a solid rock, and model a kingdom character that Christ himself demonstrated.
Release yourself from the need to be right beyond being reconciled, and allow your heart to be reminded that He is still God, and He is in control (john 16:33).
He did not come to take a side, He came to take charge.
love one another, just as He loves you.
Be the salt; be a good taste to those who only find bitterness on their tongue. bring light to the darkness and be the hands and mouth of Jesus — for where there is light, darkness flees. so go and be the point of difference. meet corruption and disruption with sensitivity and consideration. be steadfast, fearless and confident in who He says you are. He is your God and he loves and deals with you wholeheartedly.

this letter is written in the middle of a hard season. In his presence, we are welcome to be real and honest about where we are.
when there is anticipation of God’s intervention even in the breaking, He will show up and come through.
God’s word for me before the month of May ended: “mananatili kang masaya, malakas at nagpapasalamat pa rin.”
and may I be like this in the days and seasons to come.
